Tours & Tournaments adds some genuinely fun flavor to Crusader Kings III. Traveling around your realm, hosting grand tournaments, and getting involved in knightly competitions all do a good job of making the world feel more alive. It’s especially nice when you’re roleplaying a ruler who actually leaves the castle once in a while instead of just managing everything from behind the throne. The tournaments themselves can be entertaining, with some decent event variety and a bit of drama depending on who shows up. The travel system also adds some nice pacing between major decisions, and it helps make the map feel less static. That said, it’s hard to shake the feeling that this should have been part of the base game. It’s good content, but not $30 worth of “must-have” expansion. It’s the kind of system that improves immersion, but doesn’t really change the core experience in a big enough way to justify the price on its own. Overall, it’s enjoyable and adds some nice roleplay moments, but it feels overpriced for what it is. Worth it on sale, questionable at full price. Recommended, but only if you catch it cheap.

👍 Good
It's way too expensive and that's a shame, it's a good addition of stuff. The tours could be worked on, mods do make use of them with more interesting events, but it's so pricey. Definitely worth grabbing on sale, no more than £15

👎 Bad
I really like the concept of this DLC, but there simply isn't enough variety. Within a single Tournament or Grand Wedding, you will have seen every single possible event and dialogue option. The exact same sequence of events happens every single time, with no variation whatsoever. The tours are a bit more varied, but not enough to justify the DLC price. It's an amazing concept, but for 30 dollars you'd think they'd be able to write more than 5-6 events per activity. Within 10 minutes I had seen everything the expansion has to offer and that's just not okay. The CK3 team needs to take notes from the Stellaris team. While Stellaris also has issues with the price not matching the content, they at least don't have the audacity to charge 30 dollars for maybe 10 paragraphs of new content.
It has been nearly 3 months and Royal Weddings are still completely bugged. I had to abandon a playthrough entirely due to them. If either your wife or one of her parents are: traveling, acting as a regent, or out of diplomatic range, the royal wedding cannot occur. Hell, on release you weren't even able to host more than one royal wedding per family. They didn't even test if you could host a second royal wedding. They had to hotfix this issue, and it has been the only effective patch for royal weddings thus far. About half of my royal weddings still have issues. If this was a $15USD or less DLC I wouldn't care as much, but with premium pricing, I expect at least a standard job by QA to catch bugs. There are still FAR too many for 3 months after release, and there were FAR too many on release as well.
The level of greed from Paradox is disgusting, none of these DLC's should be over $5, and the vast majority of them are so small they should have been included in the base game, or provided as a free update. I feel dirty giving this predatory developer more money. I waited until the steam autumn sale to pick this up for $20.99.
