The game is good. I encourage you to check out the reviews on its Steam page. But this 'Digital Deluxe' addition is hardly worth aquiring. What you get is only a few hats that you wont notice, some skins for another game and an atmospheric* soundtrack that you wont listen to very often (*music that deepens the sensations of Vietnam). If you were hoping for a soundtrack with music from the Vietnam era (such as Gimme Shelter, Run Through The Jungle or Break On Through), you are mistaken. Having said that, the atmospheric soundtrack is good. It makes you feel like you are in the Vietnam war. All things considered, including the $5 USD price tag, I don't recommend this purchase.

OK so here's what I think of this game, as someone who has been aboard since Red Orchestra, Red Orchestra 2, and Rising Storm, and as a military veteran. I preordered the game at full price and I was also around for every round of beta testing. Vietnam has SOME fun gameplay features, but the devs dropped the ball on some really important things. Since all the early smash hits, they fell off the wagon and half-arsed the weapons and decided to spend most of their resources releasing gimmicky cosmetic packs. No amount of customer input has encouraged the team to add historical weapons or to fix existing mistakes in the weapons. The M16A1 -- the most iconic American rifle of the war -- is a visual mash up of various rifles that never appeared in Vietnam. This gun still uses the sights from the M16A2, which appeared in US service 15 or so years after the US left 'Nam. The devs ignore collections of photo evidence showing their error and dedicate their time painting new tattoos to sell to newbies. The series used to be more about teamwork and realism, but they've since reduced the standards claiming that mere authenticity only needs to "look the part", and not feel the part or even play the right part. As a result, we have people running around with all sorts of gimmicky crap AMG sold them in cosmestic packs while the maps still suffer and the weapons are still wrong. And the bullets are weak too. The series used to be much harder, but, since the good days, the crew decided to appeal to the Battlefield crowd and require multiple hits for just about everything now. It made the game worse and the devs aren't taking the hint. I would not recommend this game to anybody. It started out as a good idea that only got worse when they took the new direction. It's not 100% crap, but more like 85% crap.
