Absolute waste of time. To actually PLAY the game, you have to install some unofficial fixes for it, because Rockstar doesn't care about making their old games compatible with new, high-end tech. Maybe instead of endlessly milking GTAO, actually care about your fans instead? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ greedy pigs

Max Payne 2 is one of those games I wanted to love way more than I actually did. Yeah, the shooting still feels solid. Remedy clearly knew how to make bullets feel weighty and the slow-mo gimmick is still fun for a while. But honestly, once the novelty wears off, it starts to feel like the game is basically riding on Max Payne 1’s reputation without really pushing things forward in a meaningful way... The biggest issue for me is the story and pacing. It tries so hard to be “noir deep and tragic” that it ends up feeling a bit self-indulgent, like it’s constantly reminding you how serious it is. After a while, it just becomes exhausting rather than engaging. I never really felt emotionally invested in Mona or Max this time around, which is kind of wild considering how much the game wants you to care. There’s not a ton of replay value here either beyond “okay let me do bullet time again I guess.” The level design is decent, but it doesn’t evolve enough to keep things fresh all the way through. It’s not a bad game all around, but it feels like a slightly overrated sequel that lives in the shadow of its predecessor. If you’re expecting a big leap forward, you’re not really getting it here. Solid mechanics, cool atmosphere, but overall… kind of underwhelming.
