Instead of just been given the items they could have made it so you had to find them out in the wasteland so they would feel more worthwhile, being given them at the start of the game makes it trivial. Only get it when its on discount.

Paying to make the early game worse basically. Drop all the items. Get a mod that scatters them. Josh Sawyer mod scatters em, tho you shouldn't get that one. The classic pack comes with an unique vault 13 suit, and canteen. And a weathered 10mm pistol, which is just, a lighter textured 10mm pistol. Fallout 1/2 go learn them. Caravan pack comes with a unique textured caravan shotgun, and leather armor without shoulder pads. Merc pack comes with lightweight metal armor, and renamed grenade laucher. I guess that metal armor is unique, just without shoulder pads. And despite being "lightweight" they are stronger... Tribal pack is just renamed base game items. So a few unique items, and just renamed items. Given to you all at the start. Most mods probably don't require these. So you aren't missing alot. You get a grenade launcher at level 1, a supped up 10mm pistol, a supped up 20 gauge shotgun, supped up armor. It really just makes the early game overpowered and theres no reason for you to use an 9mm pistol, normal leather armor, single barrel shotgun. Just ruins the balance. Tho, its really only the very early game, once you get to novac it'll level out. Tho there's no reason for you not to buy the ulitmate edition, instead of all the dlc seperatly. Unless you just like spending money. I know the publisher forced them to do this as stated in director streams, and considering the director's cut mod scatters these items. So you can't really blame them too much.

this bs wouldn't be worth the money if it was free, its just something that gives you good, mid-game items on start, its the equivalent of starting a Minecraft world and just giving yourself full iron armor and tools off the get-go
