Pretty awesome DLC, content wise. Story-wise, it's mostly lore-based, not as emotional as the story in the base game. You may find a bunch of reviews saying that the final boss of the DLC is too difficult, and it's true. If you find yourself struggling too much, I suggest you use the Ring of Timely Evasion. Other than that, what this DLC offers to the world you explore in Final Fantasy XVI is well-worth it, in my opinion

👍 Good
I wish I didn’t listen tot he negative reviews. I skipped this dlc for years because of them. After finally playing it I loved it. It fleshed out the story a bit more and integrated very well with some fun fights. Wish I played it when I first reached the point of no return in the main story.
Very nice looking new area. New eikon is fun to use, and powerful. One super cool boss, one super hard boss, both were enjoyable. Pretty good addition to the main story as well.
👎 Bad
Devs can't design anything for ♥♥♥♥. After many months they never learned anything from the base game. Still the same old boring side quests with 0 variety. Why do I have to do stupid sidequests to unlock blacksmith, shop, and Chocobo. Just let those be available and spend your effort making meaningful sidequests. Furthermore, there is 0 reason to have Clive's level matter for Eikon battles. You can't customize anything anyway and these Eikon fights are more like scripted fights. Why do levels even matter? Now I'm underleveled and cannot pass the DPS check and I cannot even leave to level up. These devs don't know anything about game design.
Its got a decent story, some nice gear and accessories and even a cool boss fight. Unfortunately its got the worst Eikon fight in the entire game and is only accessible right before the end of the main game.
