For a game well known as an intro or demo, there’s still quite a bit of content to go through. While the location of the main mission will be the same for the upcoming side ops, there are some variations that still make the game and said map fun and interesting based on the different objectives. I would love if all the missions, or variations of missions, were unlocked right from the start instead of having to unlock them by progressing or by gathering some collectibles. Performance-wise, the game ran without issues on modern hardware and it still feels great at a steady 60 FPS. It’s a game that rewards you for being calm, clever and patient and punishes you for going guns blazing, but it’s still an enjoyable experience no matter how you play it. In the end, this was a good nostalgia trip from when I first played it on release day. If you’re a fan of stealth games and do not want to invest a lot of time learning new controls or game mechanics, give this one a shot. It felt well worth it when it was released and it’s still worth revisiting or playing for the first time.

👍 Good
It's a vertical slice of MGS5. Basically the tanker mission from 2 but expanded. One fairly sizeable base, a mission you can knock out quickly if you know what you're doing, the final elaboration on the meticulously elaborate MGS core gameplay structure. There's several minutes of cutscenes that range from shaky and mysterious to visceral in its depiction of physically and emotionally traumatizing events. The plot is only barely comprehensible to me because it follows from a PSP game so mostly I just noticed how preoccupied it is with lingering catastrophic damage.
Great quality for a 20 dollar demo. This one takes place before TPP so get it on sale or something because it's still worth playing through and often goes on sale for like 5 bucks. Takes about 2 hours to beat the main story mission and it also has some side missions to play after with a handful of collectables and unlocks. Not bad but not worth a whole 20 bucks.
👎 Bad
The game itself runs great, plays great, and overall serves as a good tutorial mission for The Phantom Pain, but its just that, a tutorial. There is one location for all the missions, and the actually significant story section can be completed in about an hour or two. I don't think the game shouldn't exist, but I do think it should be free. If you have the extra cash, go for it, but you could probably get all the necesary info from watching the cutscenes online or something.
Another one of those game everybody says is good but have never actually beat/100% completed it. If you try to get all the achievements for this game you will quickly realize it's just random garbage game design. They made a short game impossible to beat. Not going to play the same missions on the same map over and over again for 50 hours to unlock all this tedious ♥♥♥♥. Wish I could refund this glad I played it before MGS4 came out on Steam almost made a bad decision and bought that game. I hate these games. It really ruined my day trying to play this mess of a game. 0/10 TRASH
It's only 2 hours. I can't justify spending that much on just two hours. Watch a video of it on YouTube instead. It came with a bundle, besides I played it more than 10 years ago on the 360. I'll also say, don't go with a lot of expectations for the sequel of this game, it ended on a cliffhanger.
