He's complex for no reason. There is no payoff for his clunkiness cause he does less damage than most of the other heroes. Not worth.

Merlin lacks oomph. He takes long time to learn and only then he is mediocre at best. Despite 9 spells at his disposal none of them stands out in particular and his builds are quite limited.

Excellent gameply mechanics, poorly balanced. THE GOOD: gorgeus character, with tons of different & fun skills. THE BAD: his main concept is a slow casting spells which require a lot of time in a static position, making him too vulnerable. That is partially compensated by a talent of his (barrier), which is pratically mandatory to use if you don't want to dye tons of times. THE AWFUL: while the above mentioned flaw can be compensated in the way I've described, his other BIG FLAW is a miserable damage output, especially VS bosses (single targets). He has some good spell, but given their long casting time any other character in the game can inflict much more damage in that same amount of time, with less risks. His ULTIMATES also are good VS enemy groups, but useless VS single targets. MY VERDICT: this slow & weak old man needs massive improvements to become the true Merlin of legends. Please "fix" him!
