the main game made me forget that Resident Evil is the typa over-the-top franchise in which you could have a demented uncle going around a swamp boxing with fleshy abominations

End of Zoe was completely unexpected. Instead of traditional survival horror, this DLC offers a unique and surprisingly fun experience with a very different gameplay style. It doesn't take itself too seriously, yet it still manages to provide a satisfying conclusion to Zoe's story. The gameplay is simple but entertaining, and it was refreshing to see Resident Evil try something different without overstaying its welcome. While it's not essential, it's a memorable bonus that fans of Resident Evil 7 shouldn't skip. A fun and satisfying conclusion to the Baker family story.
👎 Bad
Let me open this by saying I really liked the base game and Not a Hero. This is not a negative review of either of those they're fantastic and I recommend them both thoroughly. Now I have just one question for Capcom, this DLC is an hour long, SO WHY IS IT $15???? Not a Hero, the FREE DLC is longer. I also have issues with the gameplay, since this is trying to retrofit RE7 into a beat em up, it leads to the issue of you getting surrounded and getting your ass handed to you with no way out too often. The combos feel sluggish to do and the novelty of being able to punch monsters wears off really fast. Overall I'd just describe the combat as sluggish and clunky. The instakill gators aren't that bad, negative reviews that mention them might actually just be deep in skill issue, no the actual problem enemies are those little jumping ones, if you don't have a spear there's almost no fighting them and they absolutely rip your health apart. This issue wouldn't be as bad if you could avoid enemies to conserve healing resources in a RESIDENT EVIL game, but you can't. Trying to get through one of the breakable doors without killing all the enemies results in the game telling you "you have to defeat all nearby enemies first." There isn't a single world where that accursed piece of text should be near an RE game.
Stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb. CAPCOM decided to let an intern with no experince develop this dlc. Fat molded enemy makes youw ant to rip ur own eyes out of ur head. Haha i have a good idea for a boss fight the stupid intern said. lets make it do tons of damage andf it damages you if you touch it. The stupid interns coworkers go wait a minute this a melee only dlc do you want people to just run around it for 20 minutes and try to punch it once and then run away before it damages you? the stupid intern laughs and goes hahahhaha noooo because the acid spit goes through the wallsss and you punches only register 25% of the time. whoever developed this dlc was hopoefully fired and never seen from again because they went back to their job as a highschool janitor
Definitely not worth the asking price. It's (thankfully) pretty short, and mainly exists to tie up the Zoe loose end that the main game forgot loop around on. You play as Joe Baker, an unlikeable bug-eating redneck who punches things, and unnecessarily caused the deaths of a couple of people who were trying to help Zoe in the first place. Just watch a Youtube playthrough instead of getting this.
