Wish this DLC had better exploration, side quests and more RPG elements. Ulysses is vague piece of ♥♥♥♥ whos trying too hard to sound deep. Other wise, this DLC is just a 7.6/10 at best. The atmosphere, loot and environment are all done pretty well.

If I hear someone rant to me about a bear and a bull having different ideologies one more time... I might actually launch a missile for real.
A thoroughly solid expansion where everything clicks: the story, the characters, the enemies, and the atmosphere. You also get access to a great companion. The gameplay is much more linear than the other DLCs. You are heavily railroaded through a gauntlet, but honestly, "Road" is right there in the title. You can't say the game didn't warn you!

most overrated bit of fallout media by far. the map looks great and the new weapons are fun, but everything else about it is pretty mediocre. the dlc tries really hard to be edgy and cool (the marked men hate each other but are united by their pain, badass trenchcoat wearing antagonist, YOU were the bad guy all along??) but none of it is written compellingly, instead it comes off like fanfiction. the tunnellers are the goofiest design here and belong in an elder scrolls game. the marked men are lame and dont really make any sense as a faction/tribe. the most compelling thing about ulysses is his voice actor. and i HATE how the dlc tries to force a backstory on you at the near end of your character's journey. it compromises itself as an RPG to tell a story that isnt good enough to make up for it. dead money has all the same edge and is better in every way. lameass dlc
