I decided to do all the DLC I could before I reached the end of the game, so I wouldn't have to beat the game and then go back to do all this optional content. Anyway, so as many other reviews are saying, this DLC - amazingly - actually deadstops the progression of the story until you complete it. That's pretty shocking. I fortunately didn't have to 'run into' this, I just kind of did the DLC. I think I reacted more to the contents of 'The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon' than pretty much anything else in the game thus far, so I think this is actually quite a good DLC. It's silly, and it occasionally made me laugh out loud, and that's pretty impressive since often when I'm playing something that's funny, I might just like internally acknowledge that it is funny. This one however, actually made me laugh. So that's a plus. The only other thing, is, what I feel is like half the DLC - and this is a VERY SHORT story overall anyway - is locked behind a quest that involved picking up three random items scattered across the game, 'Miracles While You Wait'. I actually had to reload a previous save to check up on what I missed, because otherwise I would have been done with this DLC in like ten minutes. The bulk of this DLC, is in fact, optional! It comprises, amazingly, a story that has nothing to do with Hans Capon, which I was not expecting. It made me question and wonder why this is even a DLC when it feels so... minimally invasive. Like, this just feels to me as if it were part of the base game. Which in a sense is a good thing, because sometimes you get games where you have DLC stuff that really sorta pops itself out, doesn't feel like the base game at all, but here it's more the opposite where it almost just feels like cut content they finished up and sold as additional content. Anyway, surprisingly, I think I would recommend it. The half of the DLC that involves Hans Capon, is pretty entertaining. The other half, that involves helping an unnamed 'Charlatan' to spook a village? That, I think, is genuinely really great. If I had any criticism, there being not much 'reaction' to your actions, is sort of unfortunate, but that's okay. It was enough that I kind of felt like I was given the opportunity to mess with an entire town and scare the hell out of them. Just weirdly fun. Oh, I guess the DLC is slightly longer than I thought, I completely forgot that there's an entire other optional part where you play a dice tournament. If I have any complanit about that, it's that if you do even a handful of treasure maps you'll quickly come together with such a godly collection of dice, that you can actually win these tournament matches in ONE ROUND. That was my situation. I got to the last two guys and I won on my first turn because I got six 1s on my first roll which is 8,000 points, and the score to win is only 6,000. So I didn't even get to see the dice of the people I was playing against! Which is important to progress the story! I think that the story revolving around the dice tournament part of the DLC, was really weak, but, the concept was fun and I liked having more of a reason to play 'farkle' - which is fun just because, as mentioned, how easily you can stomp the AI. Red Dead Redemption had something similar with Liar's Dice, which I also enjoyed well enough. I guess unlike other people I do recommend this DLC, and I would advise installing this. Just play the DLC before you beat the game, I guess? That's what I did and it worked okay. Although, I have read that there are serious bugs with at least one or two of the quests added by this. I experienced no issues, but your mileage may vary.

Ngl I didn't play this DLC but I'm leaving a negative review just on the basis that it locks you out of the ending. I have no idea what the devs were smoking when they designed it that way. Absolutely horrendous and tedious for no reason at all.

Has some funny moments, but for the most part more of the same grindfest that doesnt respect your time at all as the main game, if I didnt have console commands to spawn all that rotten food for the revenant quest I would have rage quit.
