Surprisingly fun and more alive than I expected. Matchmaking ran about 5-15 minutes, which is reasonable for a game of this age. Playing as the mastermind was the real highlight for me and going for all the achievements was a good time too. Bad actors show up occasionally but that's just online gaming at this point. If you're looking for something different that actually works, this one's worth a shot.

👍 Good
I have been playing this game for some hours and in spite of the hate about cheating I believe it is a solid game for it to be free; however, the game is almost dead and it takes a while to get in a match and then someone leaves so you have to get to another match. It’s free, try it
Yeah, one of the best asym games, IF not THE best. Everyone plays differently, and for me playing as a mastermind is the most fun. As of 2026 it's hard to find players, but it's still possible if you log in at different times and opt in for weekends.
👎 Bad
by far one of the worst games i've ever played Neobards didn't have a damn clue game is full of toxic, sad and depressed people who have nothing else in life avoid this game at all costs.
resident evil resistance is pretty bad. it's not, like, god awful. but it's hard to stomach it for more than a few hours at most. the mastermind is fairly fun to play and has a little bit of depth to it, but the survivor role is extremely repetitive and tedious. there's very little variation in the maps, they all play the same and follow the same beats; it's just not a very well made game, especially for longevity. there isn't a single likeable character in this game, and while that wasn't the goal of the developers, they should at least be serviceable. each one is a cardboard cutout, a trope, and a cliche. genuinely the worst writing i've ever had the displeasure of listening to in any game i've ever played. think of the most corniest garbage ever, and then triple it, that's this game's dialogue. and you have to listen to the same lines. over, and over, and over, and over... i do think there is something here, though. while i'm confident it was made as a cash grab in response to dead by daylight's success, it does offer a pretty fun time the first few times you play it. it just needed a lot more time and attention, really. but ultimately, this game is complete shovelware residing on million's of peoples' steam libraries, slowly being forgotten to time. glad i 100%'d it while i still could. i don't even recommend this to resident evil fans, to be honest.
Honestly, I liked this game a lot when I first started playing it. The idea of a 4v1 multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe was genuinely fun, and there were plenty of matches where everything just clicked. Escaping as a survivor felt rewarding, and playing as the Mastermind could be surprisingly entertaining too. It wasn't perfect, but it had enough unique ideas that I kept coming back to it for quite a while. The biggest strength of the game was its potential. Every character had their own role, matches could play out very differently, and there was a good amount of tension when both sides were evenly matched. When everyone was actually playing the game normally, it could be a really fun experience. It felt different from a lot of other asymmetrical multiplayer games out there. Unfortunately, the longer I played, the more the problems started showing up. The biggest one by far was hackers and exploiters. There were too many matches where something felt off, whether it was suspicious players, weird lag, or mechanics being abused in ways that clearly weren't intended. After a while it became difficult to tell if you lost because the other side played better or because something else was going on. That slowly killed my motivation to keep playing. The peer-to-peer connection system didn't help either. Some matches ran fine, while others felt like a complete mess. Combined with the lack of proper anti-cheat measures, it made the experience feel less reliable than it should have been. It's a shame because underneath all those issues was a genuinely enjoyable game. Overall, I don't regret the time I spent with it. I had a lot of fun during its early days and there were moments where it felt like it could become something really special. In the end though, the technical issues, hackers, and lack of long-term support slowly pushed me away. Good game at its core, but one that never quite reached the level it could have.
