Pretty anti Climatic ending, decent DLC for the most part but the banter with the band is what makes it great, unfortunately they decided after the final battle everyone should just f*ck off and never talk to Henry again.

👍 Good
Some fun missions and an interesting enough story. Decent cast of characters too.
👎 Bad
The developers decided to reveal a massive spoiler in the DLC description. Do not buy unless you want the devs to ruin the whole game for you. The developers should be ashamed of themselves.
DLC was too short and felt low-budget. I don't think this DLC deserves the 70% positive reviews.
It's OK. So the thing that everyone is gonna rave about this DLC is that you have all these super distinct specifically designed 'ragtag' band of mercenaries that you get to hang out with. I'm not sure but it feels like most of them if not all of them are wearing very specific equipment, like they have their 'unique' armour set and 'unique' characterized look. This also means none of them are lootable, because I am sure there were subtle differences in their models that would have looked weird or induced clipping if Henry was able to put their gear on. However, the bad guy has a set of armour you get to have, so that's nice. Uh, anyway... I don't know, I don't feel any of these dudes are very charismatic. I'm not sure who these characters are meant to appeal to? And they felt sort of plain to me in a lot of ways, very kinda like... if you want to set up some 'sectional tyrannosaurus' type greedy mercenary men who care only for wenches, beer and money, uh... yeah... I don't know. I feel like you do this kind of set up. You have the guy who gets 'a bad feeling about this' whenever something bad is coming up. He's a scout too. You have like 'the new kid' who is mistreated by everyone because he's the runt of the pack. You have like the two oafs that are kind of just meat filler for the group, and then you have the 'mysterious past' guy who seems like he could betray you at any moment, and then of course you have the 'battle-hardened leader' guy who is cool under pressure, cares about his men, and if he could smoke a cigar, he would. He doesn't, though. There's also the 'silent one' who is probably the best of the bunch in my view but he also feels sort of... a little bit... over-written, like. His deal is he can't talk, but he can read and write, but unfortunately no one in 'the gang' can read, so they don't have any way to communicate with this guy who is unable to talk. I feel like I would have enjoyed this entire group better if they didn't have such strange, outlandish backstories. It feels like all of them really clash with the game's material otherwise. The tone in general of this DLC really takes on, suddenly, a kind of ridiculous almost comic book type tone, which is bad in my view. I'm spoiling the DLC but whatever... so in the climax of the DLC, the bad guy basically twirls his moustache and goes like "mwahahaha, what if I simply buy you out, mercenary man" and he literally has his henchman bring out a massive chest full of silver coins and is like "behold, my MONEY." I was just like... well, okay. I mean, I feel they could have done this a little more tastefully somehow, a little more grounded in reality? Anyway, so. There's not a lot more to say about this DLC, there's some fighting and some talking and nothing very interesting happens, I enjoyed one scenario which was like an enemy ambush type deal which was neat, it was fun to fight from the back foot, it's just unfortunate that your allies are useless, die instantly, and so you might be replaying a couple sections repeatedly to try to get them to not die. So this one can be a little frustrating too. Whether or not I recommend it... you know what, I think I would not recommend it just because in my view this DLC did not add anything to the game. I don't feel like I was really enriched by it and it felt like they were trying a little too hard to make, endearing, gruff, vulgar, mercenary soldier dudes who are likeable. It's very challenging for me to actually like them though since they are technically pretty awful people. There's a big difference between an antihero, and the callousness of these characters, and so I don't think they are likeable, and if they aren't likeable I don't really want to work with them, since that means they are villainous. The game came dangerously close to having these glorified bandit dudes you work with, basically perpetrating the same crime you attempted to stop. That goes a little beyond just 'loveable antiheroes'. So I think on that level the DLC is kind of a failure.
