I played New Dawn in 2022 and remember it being a playground of silly fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither should you.

👍 Good
The game was good. Although it had some bugs in co-op, the game was still fun and enjoyable. Also, it's a good follow-up to Far Cry 5. 7/10
I played this game during my early teen in 2019, really enjoyed it back then. The game is vibrant and beautiful. I love the atmostphere, they really did well to match with post-nuclear apocalyptic event. I also loved the enemy ranking system, I think this is the first time ever where you can see enemies' healthbar. I also really liked the weapond ranking system as well. However, there some criticisms that are pointing out. First of all, while i do like the weapond ranking system, it also has a problem where some weapons from lower rank willl be completely useless towards mid to end game. As a result, only rank 3 and elite weapons stand a chance against the late game enemies (I played in the hardest difficulty btw). Plus, the storyline is very blend and boring. The Twins were more annoying than being terrifying, and i didnt feel any emotional connection with any characters (except for Timber the Dog). Sorry for any broken english, I just typed it without thinking :)
👎 Bad
The twins make this game unplayable, they should be shot from the beginning so an interesting bad guy can take over for them
As someone who has beaten every single mainline Far Cry game, this one finally broke my streak. On the bright side, the soundtrack is genuinely good, and the core gunplay feels great—when the game actually lets you play it. Unfortunately, that's rare, because the overall design constantly gets in its own way. The story is completely horrific. The two main villains are utterly awful and entirely unbelievable, and the dialogue throughout the game is a childish, teenage-esque cringe-fest that feels like it throws out swear words every second sentence just to look edgy. The pacing is also completely broken. Chapter 2 drags you through endless hallucinations and painstaking filler instead of the high-octane Far Cry action you actually show up for. But the final chapter is where the game completely falls apart. First, it forces you through a mandatory fist-fight club, followed immediately by stumbling around a prison with zero weapons—pushing me to finally quit. What kind of Far Cry game strips away your action right in the lead-up to the grand finale? Worse yet, the game’s whole economy feels designed to push you toward microtransactions just to skip the grind for good weapons. Imagine grinding or paying to finally get kitted out for the end game, only for the final chapter to hit you with three consecutive missions that completely strip your weapons away. Absolute trash design. The foundations are solid, but forcing this kind of slow, weaponless filler at the very end of the game instead of the beginning completely kills the momentum. Could not finish it.
Buggy bad game I hate it. There is no fun to be found, only misery and if you're lucky, a feeling of emptiness. I do not recommend, they should pay you to play this trash.
